In light of these considerations, we wholeheartedly encourage our clients to engage in open discussions with their healthcare providers to explore alternative treatment options. Our utmost priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of each individual in our care. Examples of benzodiazepine medications include Ativan (lorazepam), Halcion (triazolam), Klonopin (clonazepam), Librium (chlordiazepoxide), Serax (oxazepam), Tranxene (clorazepate), Valium (diazepam), and Xanax/Xanax XR (alprazolam).
To uphold the safety of our clients, PIPS has revised its approach to benzodiazepine prescriptions. Going forward, benzodiazepines such as Xanax, Ativan, and Klonopin will be prescribed judiciously and for a limited duration to mitigate the risks associated with substance abuse. This adjustment is part of our commitment to promoting the well-being and safety of all individuals in our care.
